800W Red Head Light with Dimmer

A redhead 800W light is a compact, lightweight, multi-purpose tungsten flood/fill light, ideal for any location lighting applications. It uses a double-ended lamp and has a round face with an adjustable reflector for flood / spot control. The mechanism changes the globe's position relative to the reflector, so the reflector sends out a wide beam when the globe is close to the reflector and a narrower beam when the globe is pulled away from the reflector. Designed to operate high temperature tungsten-halogen lamps, and are well suited for use in tight or confined spaces where maximum light output and beam spread are required for fill or flood lighting.

Open-Face lights tend to spill light everywhere due to the fact that the light emanates both from the bulb and the surface of the silver reflector, making them good fill lights.

These lights make good bounce lights (directed into a white bounce surface) or can be handy for lighting elements of the background set. To be used for lighting actors, a medium to heavy diffusion is needed to take the garish curse off the light.

Red Heads are excellent for use in television news coverage, television/film commercials as well as in motion picture and industrial films.
