High Speed Sync (HSS) / FP Sync

The Fujifilm EF-X500 flash features a high speed sync option to enable compatible camera bodies to flash sync at up to 1/8000th of a second or highest available mechanical shutter speed. This feature is needed for freezing fast moving objects in day light, or flash photography with fast apertures in bright light.

Wireless TTL communication

The Fuji EF-X500 can be used in a multi-flash setup with TTL. Multi flash setups willl enable more creative photography, and full TTL metering means that you don't have to manually set each flash. Multiple flashes can be controlled with up to three groups, each of which can be set up with different light output. The light output of each group can also be adjusted from the camera.

Constant light LED video light

An LED light under the flash head can act as either constant video light or AF assist light. The light can easily be turned on/off in the flash's menu.

Manual power control of 1/1 to 1/512 in 1/3 stop steps

A wide manual power control range of 1/1 to 1/512 in 1/3 steps will provide exceptional level of manual control. Additionally the lower power range will greatly decrease the flash duration, and enable users to shoot extreme high-speed flash photography.
